On January 10, 2020, Group Standards Release Ceremony of Quality Evaluation and Classification of Hotel Online Service Held in Beijing. The standard (hereinafter referred to as "standard") is lead by Meituan, jointly drafted by Shanghai Business School and Center for Tourism Planning and Research of East China Normal University. It will be published on the official website of the Internet Society of China (ISC) in the near future.
Ms.Pei Wei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC delivered a speech. Representatives from Meituan Hotel, Shanghai Modern Culture Tourism Promotion Center, Beijing International Studies University, Yiting Hui, Super 8 Hotel Group (China) attended the meeting.
Ms.Pei Wei said that with the increasing popularity of mobile Internet and the rapid growth of tourism consumption, the online hotel booking industry has achieved rapid development, and a large number of online booking platforms have risen rapidly. At the same time, non-standard management and operation affect the future development of online hotel reservations, and the public has become more and more urgent for the Internet industry to achieve scientific development and standardized services. Evaluation and Classification
of
Hotel Online Service, which aims to provide guidance for online hotel operations through the e-commerce platform and the hotel online service evaluation system, thereby promoting the improvement of the entire industry service and protecting consumer rights.
ISC has actively promoted the development and revision of group standards. In 2019, ISC has established 11 group standards, including multiple issues such as network protection for minors, social responsibility of Internet corporate , and data governance. At present, all standards development work is proceeding steadily.
