Nine Departments Release China's Internet Anti-drug Conventions Together With ISC

To better implement the spirit of the speech that made by President Xi when meeting with advanced collective of national drug-control and advanced personal representatives on June 25, resolutely curb the spread of network drug-related criminal activities, National Narcotics Control Committee and 9 government departments jointly with the Internet Society of China (ISC) issued China's Internet Anti-drug Conventions on June 29 in Beijing. Mr. Liu Yuejin, the Deputy Director of National Narcotics Control Committee and the Assistant Minister of Ministry of Public Security attended the ceremony and gave a speech.

China's Internet Anti-drug Conventions is the first anti-drug self-discipline convention to Internet service suppliers and netizen. It is formulated under the new situation of increasing close relation between drug crime and Internet, based on the requirement of Opinion on the Central State Council on Strengthening Anti-drug and the nine departments’ Opinion on Strengthening Internet Anti-drug, to improve Internet servers’ responsibility to implement Internet anti-drug, encourage netizen to take part in the Internet anti-drug campaign.

The convention is an important way to highlight the themes of the times, spread positive energy, and create a healthy Internet environment.

Mr. Liu Yuejin emphasizes that Internet environment is civilized, healthy and integrity and a way for people to study and communicate, and a platform of entertainment, living and spread positive energy. Creating a healthy Internet environment is the obligatory duty of all the Internet service providers and netizen. All sectors of society should actively pay attention to network drug related, safeguard Internet order, boycott all kinds of network drug related activities, and keep a green, healthy Internet environment.

On the conference, ISC proposes that all the Internet industry and netizen should pursuit to self-disciplined, and bear enterprise social responsibility, and conscientiously resist the spread of drug-related, illegal and harmful information.

50 national key Internet enterprises and 5 express delivery service providers signed the letter of commitment, swore to boycott Internet drug-related activity and work together for a non-poisonous, civilized, healthy, green Internet environment.
