The 2nd IGF (Internet Governance Forum) will be held from 12-15 November 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil while he 1st IGF was held in Athens, Greece last year.
An IGF-parallelling forum called Best Practice Forums will be organized during the IGF, with the purpose of these sessions is to illustrate how countries and/or institutions have addressed various issues associated with Internet governance or a particular theme and to show how good solutions emerged.
Internet Society of China (ISC) will co-organize with Consultative Committee on UN Information Technology, China Association for Science and Technology (CCIT/CAST) and Hong Kong Council of Social Service to host a workshop in the Best Practice Forums with the theme of "Promoting Network Security and Constructing a Harmonious Internet". On 13 November, ISC and CCIT/CAST will co-organize a workshop "The global culture for cybersecurity" under the main session of "Diversity". This workshop is a follow-up event of last year when the 1st one held in Athens IGF. (More Info: http://www.intgovforum.org/wks_session_info.php?numes=5 )
