The 2nd China Internet Governance Forum Held via Online

Led by the Internet Society of China (ISC) and sponsored by ICANN, the 2nd China Internet Governance Forum (China IGF) was held via online on Dec 16, 2021.

Themed with “Co-building and Sharing the Digital Civilization--Improving Digital Literacy and Data Governance”, multi-stakeholders representatives were invited to share insights and exchanged on topics of digital civilization, data governance, Internet governance etc.

Mr. HUANG Chengqing, Vice President of ISC, delivered welcome remark for the Forum. “In the digital information space built by technologies such as the Internet, big data, and artificial intelligence, how to improve the cultivation of digital literacy skills for all has special practical significance. At the same time, an orderly and sustainable digital civilization development environment also depends on solidity The legal system guarantees.”, said Mr. HUANG.

Mr. FU Cong, Director General of the Department of Arms Control of MFA, Ms. ZHONG Zhihong, Counsel of the Bureau of Information and Telecommunication Administration of MIIT, and Mr. John Crain, Interim CTO of ICANN delivered opening remarks to the forum.Ms. PEI Wei, Deputy Secretary General of ISC served the moderator of the event.

High-level leadership and renowned experts from CNNIC, Cyber Security Association of China, Fuxi Institution, China Telecom, Alibaba Group, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, and the Communication University of China made keynote around the forum main theme.

Multi-stake representatives from UNICEF China, CAICT, CAST, Beijing Normal University, Sina Corp, 360 Group, Kuaishou.com and young student from Tsinghua University were invited to join the two penal discussion on how to improving digital literacy and data governance.
